Multipart Access requires that a View Part Links (vp_links) directory reside in
every referenced part’s database at its _pd file level. This directory provides the
proper permissions to ensure read - only access to the referenced part.
To create a vp_links directory automatically for each new part, add the
CADDSENABVP variable to your.caddsrc file. Edit your.caddsrc file and add
the following command line:
setenv CADDSENABVP’yes’
