Fast Reroute Recovery (FRR)
FRR for RSVP-TE is introduced in Extreme XOS 12.1.1 as an LSP protection capability as defined in
RFC 4090. Testing continues for this feature to stabilize and optimize this capability for deployment
in production networks. At this time, FRR should not be enabled in a production network. To protect
against accidentally enabling this feature in a production network, the CLI command enable mpls
rsvp-te fast-reroute is hidden. If you want to test FRR in a lab environment and provide
feedback, contact Extreme Networks Technical Support. The FRR feature will be supported for
production networks in a future release of ExtremeXOS software once testing is complete.
