Theory of Operation SDM-650B Satellite Modem 5.2.2.2.1 Sequential Decoder BER Performance Specifications The guaranteed BER performance curves for the sequential decoder are shown in Figures 1-4 through 1-6. The specifications are based on 1/2, 3/4, and 7/8 rates at 100 and 1544 kbit/s. The theoretical BER performance curves for the sequential decoder are shown in Figures 5-4 through 5-6. The specifications are based on 1/2, 3/4, and 7/8 rates at 56 and 1544 kbit/s. 5–12 Rev. 6
