Warning Lights WARNING LIGHT POSITION AND OPERATION Warning Lights Direction indicators - GREEN The left or right warning light flashes in time with the left or right direction indicator lights, whenever they are operated. If either warning light fails to illuminate, or flashes very rapidly, this means that one of the indicator lights is not operating. NOTE: If the hazard warning lights are operated, both warning lights will flash together. HB0285 Petrol models NOTE: Some warning lights apply to different petrol models - refer to the description of the relevant warning light for confirmation of applicability. HB0286 Diesel models 62 Headlight main beam - BLUE Illuminates when the headlights are switched to main beam. Low oil pressure - RED Illuminates as a bulb check when the starter switch is turned to position ‘II’ and extinguishes when the engine is started. If the light remains on, flashes on and off, or illuminates continuously whilst driving, serious engine damage could occur; stop the car as soon as safety permits and SWITCH OFF THE ENGINE IMMEDIATELY. Seek qualified assistance before driving. Battery charging - RED The light illuminates as a bulb check when the starter switch is turned to position ‘II’ and extinguishes as soon as the engine is running. If it remains on, or illuminates whilst driving, a fault with the battery charging system is indicated. Seek qualified assistance urgently.
