Are you regularly checking
your residential fire alarms?
We advise you to check your residential fire alarm devices regularly in order to use them properly and securely.
What to do if the fire alarm rings!?
・ If it's a fire
Check where the source of the fire is, and, if circumstances permit, take preliminary
measures using a fire extinguisher, etc. If not, escape immediately and dial 119 to call the Fire
Bureau.
・ If it's not a fire (devices may be activated due to steam and smoke during cooking)
Stop the alarm by pushing the “Stop Alarm” button or pulling the pull string, and ventilate
the room and your house.
※ If you hear rapid beeping (not the alarm itself), the battery may have run out or the device may
be out of order.
※ Change the battery or replace the device with a new one. Contact the shop where you bought
the device, the manufacturer etc.
Read the user manual, and then check and clean the device
・Test the device in the following cases:
※using the pull string or “stop alarm” button (“test button”):
①When you first install it
③When you change the battery
⑤When it appears to be out of
order or out of battery
②When you clean it
④ When you remove it and
install it in another place
⑥ When you are away from
home for more than 3 days
