MP1800-10 3G Router User Manual MS-CHAP MS-CHAP: Similar to CHAP, MS-CHAP is one encrypted authentication mechanism, using the MPPE-based data encryption. MS2-CHAP : MS-CHAP protocol version 2. EAP EAP: It is one extended authentication protocol. The protocol is used for the authentication in the point-to-point network, such as PPP. It supports various authentication mechanisms. With the extendable authentication protocol, any ID authentication mechanism can authenticate the remote access connection.
