PRNGD and EGD as solutions to this requirement. Note: It is required that one of the two entropy
programs is installed, configured, and running prior to starting the IAgent3 product.
Sun Solaris only
During the Sun Solaris install process (pkgadd) the prngd program was installed, configured, and
added to the target machine’s /etc/rc3.d scripts for automatic startup on reboot. Correct
operation may be tested by running the test_prngd.pl utility found in /opt/iagent3/tools.
