Using JANUS Card Production
Add Text...
Allows the user to enter free text. The amount of text which can be
accommodated is entirely dependent on the design layout.
Add Rectangle
Allows the user to place a rectangle in the card design.
Add Block
Selecting this option allows the user to place a block (filled rectangle) into
the card design.
Add Line
This option allows the addition of a fixed line.
Properties
This menu is only available when the Card Design window is open.
Option
Description
Size/Position...
The co-ordinates of a selected object can be specified to enable accurate
positioning. The width and height of the object in millimetres may also be
specified. This option is available for all object types.
Colour...
The colour of a selected object may be changed using this option. This is
available for all object types except bitmaps.
Border
Enables a border to be defined for an object. This is available for all object
Settings...
types except lines.
Text String...
Allows editing of a text string (text object only).
Text Font...
Allows the font and font style of a text-based object to be changed.
Text
Specifies whether a text-based object should be aligned left, right or
Alignment...
center.
Date Format...
This option allows the editing of the format of any data object which is a
date.
Bring Forwards
Moves the selected object in front of the nearest overlapping object.
Send
Moves the selected object behind the nearest overlapping object.
Backwards
Change Design
Enables the user to change the name or description of the current card
Name
design.
Mandatory Data
A user may wish to produce (print) a card only if certain fields contain data
Fields...
(such as the picture, or surname). This option allows the user to specify
which fields should be mandatory for a card design.
