Roth Alu-LaserPlus® Pipe System
... a modern installation technique for water and heating systems
Physical characteristics for Alu-LaserPlus® pipes.
The Alu-LaserPlus® pipe is a
quality product that has been
developed for water and heating
systems. The pipe is made up of 5 layers.
The inner layer features a thick-walled
PE-pipe, an adhesive, laser-welded alucoating, and adhesive; the outer layer
features a protective PE-layer.
Since the inner pipe is thick-walled,
the pipes are able to withstand their
pressure and temperature rating
without help from the alu-coating.
The production is ISO 9001 compliant,
and it is monitored by a variety of
independent testing institutions. One
interesting feature is the so-called time
constant curve, which shows how the

The Alu-LaserPlus® pipe shows only a
minimally falling value, including during
long-term testing at high temperatures.
The curve does not show any abrupt
deviations or rapidly falling values.
An Alu-LaserPlus® pipe has a safety
factor that extends well beyond the
normal requirement. Ongoing testing is
perforwith pursuant to DIN 16892
The Roth Alu-LaserPlus® pipe
has several advantages:
• Long durability
• Great aging resistance (slow cor
rosive effect on pipe)
• For domestic water usage, the al

is 70º C/158o F. (95o C./203º F.

of 10 bar (145 PSI)
• Low loss of pressure, no deposits, and no galvanic or chemical
corrosion
• Ability to withstand ”construction site treatment”
• Minimal linear expansion

• Deformation resistant.
• Great impact resistance, including during cold conditions
• Great flexibility that makes it easy to work with, including during
cold conditions
• Diffusion tight
• VA (Water and Drainage) approved 1.14/19173 for 70º C (158º F) at
10 bar (145 PSI).
With regards to domestic water systems,
special mention should be made that
Roth Alu-LaserPlus® pipes and fittings
are resistant to:
• Drinking water content, pursuant to DIN 2000
• Disinfectants and cleaning agents, pursuant to DVGW W 291 and
DNI 2000
• Corrosion protectants, pursuant to DIN 1988 item 4
• Common building materials such as mortar, cement, and plaster
• Flow optimizers, pursuant to
DIN 8075, Addendum 1
Roth Alu-LaserPlus® pipes and PressCheck® fittings need protection against
oil, grease, gas leaks, and solvents.
Alu-LaserPlus® Pipe System
The Alu-LaserPlus® pipe system
is state of the art when it comes to
installation technique. Given the rising
demand for modern assemblies, Roth
has developed this new system that is
based on the best and most modern
materials and assembly techniques.
The system is based on an AluLaserPlus® pipe, a 5-layer pipe that
combines the best characteristics from
the PE-pipe with the best metal pipe
characteristics.
The fittings for the system are based on
the known radial press technique, which
provides a secure and durable assembly.
The fittings are made of brass and the
artificial material PPSU. PressCheck® is
leaky as long as it is not pressed.
The Roth Alu-LaserPlus® pipe system
contains a variety of components that
simplify and enhance the pipe system
(see separate Product Range).
