Statement regarding known issues
As an open source community based software project, Kuali Coeus wishes to be transparent about known issues with
the software at each release. Publically providing an exhaustive list of known issues is a deviation from common
practice for commercially provided software. We believe it important to allow our colleagues who might consider
adopting the software to make as fully informed decision as possible, to limit surprises that would be encountered
during the course of implementation and to eliminate the expenditure of unnecessary time discovering and confirming
issues that are already known. The commitment to transparency coupled with a rigorous quality assurance process
leads to an extensive lists of bugs, but by far the vast majority fall into the minor and trivial category. Those known
issues in the Critical and Major categories will be attended to in future patches and releases.
The KC project team has not thoroughly reviewed the list of known issues for accuracy or priority. Some of these issues
may have already been fixed or may not be considered legitimate bugs.

Please note that the KC help content is not 100% complete. The project team has tried to provide as much useful help
content as possible given limited resources assigned to help documentation.
Critical Issues
The following issues were prioritized as Critical for the KC 5.1 release. An issue is Critical if key functionality is unusable
or severely crippled. Typically (i) there is no acceptable workaround; (ii) it prevents access to functionality deeper in the
software; and (iii) overall it has as significant impact.

Major Issues
The following issues were prioritized as Major for the KC 5.1 release. An issue is Major if functionality is hindered or
obstructed. Typically (i) the workaround, if it exists, is time consuming or complicated or results in having to re-enter
data; (ii) most often occurs fairly deeply in the software and does not obstruct large pieces of functionality; and (iii)
overall has lower impact than a critical. The KC project team will continue to review and prioritize these issues based
upon their impact to implementing partners.

Minor and Trivial Issues
The following issues were prioritized as Minor and Trivial for the KC 5.1 release. An issue is Minor if there is a minor loss
of functionality, or other problem where easy workaround is present. An issue is Trivial if it is a cosmetic problem like
misspelled words or misaligned text. Given the low priority of these issues, the KC project team has not thoroughly
reviewed them for accuracy. Some of these issues may have already been fixed or may not be considered legitimate
bugs. The KC project team will likely fix some of these issues as time permits and when working on higher priority issues
involving the same pieces of code. The minor and trivial issues are being shared in order to be fully transparent
regarding any potential issues in the KC 5.1 software.
