describes the P6207 FET Probe
and lists standard probe accessories.
The Tektronix P6207 is an active 10XĆattenuating probe
that is compatible with Tektronix TDSĂ800 Series digitizĆ
ing oscilloscopes.
With the P6207 you can make highĆfrequency measureĆ
ments with less capacitive loading than a passive
resistiveĆdivider probe. The P6207 uses FETs to estabĆ
lish the high input impedance at high frequencies that
is characteristic of active probes.
The P6207 has a typical bandwidth of 4ĂGHz and an
input impedance of 100ĂkW in parallel with 400ĂfF (femĆ
tofarad). The P6207 output must terminate into 50ĂW.
The P6207 FET Probe features the TEKPROBE SMA
Level 2 interface.
When used with a compatible oscilloscope, the host
instrument provides power for the probe. The oscilloĆ
scope can also control the probe offset voltage through
the interface.
The probe provides the oscilloscope with the probe
model number, serial number, and attenuation factor.
Oscilloscope display readouts are corrected for the
probe attenuation factor and the oscilloscope input is
automatically set to 50ĂW (if possible).
Check your oscilloscope manual to determine if your
oscilloscope fully supports the TEKPROBE interface.

The P6207 FET Probe contains staticĆsensitive
devices. To prevent damage to the probe
caused by electrostatic discharge, wear a
properly grounded wrist strap when handling
the probe. Refer to " !"" ! following the safety information at the front of
