Introduction
This app is intended for use by people who might receive a file encrypted with
our app NCrypt. They can download this app for free and decrypt the file using
the same key used to encrypt it (which you should provide them, the means of
which is up to you – but if you email them an encrypted file it’s best not to include
the key in the same email).
Keys are a set of characters up to 32 characters in length. You must remember
which keys you use to encrypt files as they will be needed to decrypt them. The
app does not remember them.
This app, DCrypt, will make a copy of the file, so the user ends up with the
encrypted one and a new decrypted copy. If a file exists which has the same
name as the decrypted one, a new file will be created beginning with “copy#”
where # will be a number (1, 2 etc).
Disclaimer
If you are not familiar with this application please read this help manual to avoid
any problems. Used incorrectly this software can corrupt/lose data.
The author of this software does not accept any liability for the corruption of data
or loss of data by use of this software.
Using the app
Simply use the “Browse” button to chose the encrypted file, or drag/drop it to the
edit field.
Click “Decrypt” and enter the key used to encrypt the file. That’s it!
