March 2005 Appendix B Measuring P and L Dimensions If you are using wetted transducers, the PT878 requires you to enter the path length (P) and the axial dimension (L). P is the transducer face-to-face distance, and L is the axial projection of P in the flow stream. To determine L, physically measure the distance between the center of the transducer ports at the inside wall as shown in Figure B-1 below, if possible. If not, consult the factory.
