SMSDef Examples In the following example, the SMSDef command is issued to disable the esoteric substitution function during IDAX processing. SMSDEF ESOTSUB(OFF) In the next example, the SMSDef command is used to bypass all DFSMS ACS routine calls during virtual volume allocation and virtual volume mount processing. Setting VTVmgmt to OFF bypasses the storage class and management class ACS routines. Setting DCrecmed to OFF bypasses the data class ACS routine.
