It is designed so that two players form a foursomes pair/team. Medal or Stableford can be selected. If the foursomes pair are playing Matchplay this will form part of the SP Tournaments in the ATMS – please consult the applicable Matchplay or IPT user manuals. This manual merely covers the Foursomes component of the ATMS. The user should be familiar with the basic strokeplay tournament. 3 1

Creating a Foursomes Tournament 2.1 Creating a Tournament in Competitions For a Foursomes event you need to create the tournament in the “Competitions” side of the ATMS as you would do for a Stroke Play event. To do this you need to click on “Competitions” and then click on “New competition” Figure 3 Enter all the parameters for the tournament. The name, club, date and number of rounds. Under round setup select Foursomes for the Comp. format. This needs to be done for all rounds. Medal or Stableford can be selected. If you require any assistance in setting up a tournament please consult the ATMS User Manual. 2.2 Creating the Foursomes Teams Once you have created the tournament in competitions and added your players, click on ‘Players<Teams’ on the left hand side. Click on ‘Team Editor’ at the top. Figure 6 6 The following window will open: Figure 7 Foursomes pairs can be created using the green arrows. Click ‘Apply Teams’ when all your pairs have been created. Figure 8 7 Pairs can now be viewed under ‘Teams’: Figure 9 The pairs are kept together in the draw editor when creating the draw. Figure 10 8 2.3 Scoring Scores can be entered in ‘group entry’ mode. The scores will be for the foursomes team combined. Figure 11 Your tournament is run as per a normal stroke play or stableford competititon with scores being entered for each pair respectively. Scores entered for Stableford can be entered in the players scorecard. The added handicap will be reflected and the strokes assigned accordingly. Figure 12 9 2.4 Prizes and Results In order to obtain results for your foursomes competition a prize needs to be allocated to the team. Go to Assignments>Prizes. Create a new prize and under ‘Playing Group’ select ‘Team’ If a ‘net’ result is required for a Division playing Stableford this needs to be selected under prizes and the combined hancicaps of the team will be taken into account. Figure 13 2.5 Handicap Divisions It is important if requiring a net result that the maximum combined handicap is not limited. Figure 14 10 2.6 Net results with a decimal point If combined handicaps form a decimal point these will be taken into account when allocating a net prize. Results will show the decimal point. Replacing a Player in a Team If a player withdraws before play starts and the foursomes pair has to change, go to the ‘draw editor’ and remove the pair in which the player needs to be replaced, from the draw. Go to ‘Teams’ and delete the team in which the player needs to be replaced by clicking on the yellow cross next to the pairs’ names. (Figure 16) Figure 16 11 Go to ‘Players’ and delete the player that has withdrawn. Add the new player to the player’s list. Go back to the ‘Team Editor’ and enter the new team. Don’t forget to click ‘Apply teams’. Go back to the ‘Draw Editor’ and enter the new pair in the draw. You will need to ‘Generate the Start List’ and ‘Livescoring’ again. 12 4
Reports When drawing results for a Foursomes Tournament go to ‘Report’ under Result List. Under Winner List select ZA_COM_Winnerlist.lst 13 5
Livescoring Set the Golfclub TV up as you would do for a Stroke Play or Stableford tornament. Livescoring will be displayed as teams. 14
