The adjustable footrest consists of three adjustable
components,
the footrest bar, the support tube, and
the individual footrest shoes.
The footrest should be inserted into the bottom slot of
the bracket located under the abductor. Insert the
footrest bar until the spring loaded adjustment
button
“clicks” into the first adjustment
hole. Pull the
adjustment
button out to move the footrest to one of
the other adjustment
positions.
The support tube may be adjusted up and down the
footrest bar by loosening the knob between the
footrest shoes. This adjustment
may be used to assist
in controlling
hip flexion or extension. When optimum
position has been achieved, be sure to tighten the
knob so the support tube maintains its position.

The footrest shoes can be trlted indrvrdually
for
ankle dorsiflexron
or plantiflexion.
This is accomplrshed
by inserting
a Phillips-head
screwdriver
in the hole in the footrest tube (directly under each
shoe) and loosening
the screw. Be sure to tighten
the screw after repositioning
the footrest.
To secure the childs foot to the footrest, cross the
webbing
straps over the childs foot and fasten to
the velcro under the front of the footrest shoe.
