External input triggering can be used to
produce a snapshot for profile measurement.
For example, a photocell can be connected as
an external input to generate a trigger pulse
when a target object has moved into position.
An external input can also be used to gate the
trigger signals when time or encoder triggering
is used. For example, a photocell could generate
a series of trigger pulses as long as there is a
target in position.
Example: Software Trigger + Robot Arm
Software triggering can be used to produce a

A software trigger can be used in systems that
use external software to control the activities of
system components.
Trigger Settings
The trigger source is selected using the Trigger panel in the Scan page.
After specifying a trigger source, the Trigger panel shows the parameters that can be configured. Parameter
