If you wish to compensate for
temperature, then measurement results
are recalculated to what they would be

at 20 C (industry standard). Enter the
mean ambient temperature here.
However, you must now enter the
material (and thermal expansion
coefficient) for the component being
measured
Material
As the cmm structure is made from a
single material (Aluminium), it will expand
and contract uniformly with temperature.
It is therefore possible to compensate for
the ambient temperature of the machine
in the software providing that the material
(and thermal expansion co-efficient for
the material) is also known. Select the
material of the measured component from
this list.
Thermal Expansion Coefficient (ppm)
If you have selected ‘other’ from the material list above
then you must enter the thermal expansion coefficient in
ppm for the material here.
