There are many parameters associated
with the appearance of a product which are
fundamental in determining its acceptability.
These parameters are not only determined by
the products design but are also influenced
by other factors such as its Colour and Gloss.
Additionally for some products
( e.g. Automotive Paints ) other more specific
characteristics can exist such as Haze or
Orange Peel which further affect these factors.
From R&D, Production to Incoming or Final
QC, the monitoring and measurement of
these parameters with modern, accurate test
equipment is absolutely critical in order to
achieve high quality standards and problem
free manufacture. Modern instrumentation
techniques also avoid uncertainties caused by
subjective visual evaluations and allow precise
measurements to be made with consistent
repeatability and traceable accuracy.
