The Freedom Import Printer is used in OpenBook to provide OCR access to documents which either consist of images only or cannot be read by a screen reader in their native application. You can initiate the Freedom Import Printer by opening a document through the Select a File to Open dialog box which is not natively supported in OpenBook, or by printing the document from its native application and choosing Freedom Import Printer as the printer. You can only modify process settings for this specialty workflow. For more information, refer to Managing Files, Opening Files with the Freedom Import Printer.
