This build has several beta versions that were released to a handful of customers. Each beta
was tested of the Joint Strike Fighter J35 simulator at Lockheed Akron, OH. This simulator is
complex enough to utilize almost all of V+ capability inducing 3D HRTF audio, SMx local ICS
objects, DIS radios, HLA radios, VComm secondary sockets, numerous Ethernet interfaces
using the Custom Socket I/O device and tens of thousands of objects. This release includes
the following changes:

Beta 1, (2009-10-15)

Beta 2, (2009-10-17)

Fixed a small memory leak in the development system message window.
Beta 3, (2009-10-21)
o

Added a real-time logging feature to the V+ Development System, and the
V+ Run-time System. The files can be turned on or off via a registry entry.
See the V+ User Manual for more information.
Added additional thread protection around VComm radio shared data areas.
Newer computers have more threads and V+ and VComm are multithreaded
applications. This fix was necessary to correct a crash on an international
customer running many machines with multiple processors each.
Beta 4, (2009-10-30)

Added a “cut” menu item on selected objects in the V+ development system
that are right mouse clicked while the platform is not running and are
selected.

Corrected an HLA problem in VComm that caused a loss of one way
communications after a dynamic resign and join. Only the remote control
system can command an HLA federation resign and join while HLA is running.
Prior to this version, depending on the sequence of the load and the sequence
of the HLA handle, communications would be lost after one of the computers
would resign, and only in one direction.

Changed the remote control system to get the configuration after a
connection has been made to the client. This populates all of the configuration
edit boxes, etc., on the screen of the remote control client.

Added real-time logging messages of the HLA system in VComm to provide
for more detailed messages in the run-time system window during dynamic
remote control resigns and joins.

Update the VComm User Manual.

Updated the V+ user Manual
o
Updated the V+ Remote Control User Manual.
