Was a service defined as the standard service for the performing user in this activity? This is used as a fallback if there is no definition in the activity or order which service the employee renders. This also requires however that the product assigned to the standard service of the user is also in the order as a product. Services of employees are called services in the Microsoft CRM standard. CRM-Project builds upon this standard and uses also the assignment of employees to services. A connection between services and products is also required. Please refer to Section 16.2 for more information. Required for escalation level 2 can be the maintenance of the output assignments in the order, and specification of which employee renders which service within this project. This is only necessary when: Your employees does not have to explicitly specify the service rendered on every entry, You have not stored a standard service for one or more employees in the project or, One or more employees in this project rendered services within the project that do not correspond to their standard service (e.g. the employee has "mover" as the standard service and only service "driver" is rendered in this order). Summary: For the billing process, a search is always performed firstly on a service in the activity directly - if none are found, a search is performed on an appropriate output assignment within the project for the user. If this is not found, the Standard Service field for system user Entity is checked. If this does not contain a service either, an error message informs about the lack of service assignment.
