Managing Assets
2. Create the following directories in the file system of the
computer that will be used to transfer the files to CMS400.
• Input - place files in this directory before uploading them to
Ektron CMS400.NET
• Backup - files are moved to this directory after they are
uploaded to Ektron CMS400.NET
• Error - files are moved to this directory if there was a problem
moving them to the input folder
3. To each computer that will run the Auto Add Asset Feature,
copy the C:\Program
Files\Ektron\CMS400v61\Utilities\AssetWorkerSetup.msi file and
run it.
This program creates a new folder, C:\Program
Files\Ektron\AssetWorkerSetup.
4. Test that the Web Services are working. To do that, browse to
the following page:
http://localhost/cms400demo/workarea/webservices/
assetservice.asmx
The page displays two Web services: AddAsset and
MakeFolderIfNoExists.
Updating the Configuration File
After installing the Auto Add Asset feature, you can modify the
configuration file, which lets you customize the feature to fit your
particular needs.
The file’s name and folder path is C:\Program
Files\Ektron\AssetWorkerSetup\maindata.config.
The following table describes its elements.

DmsUserName
The user created during the install. If you let E k t r o n C M S 4 0 0 . N E T install
create the user, the default is EKT_ASSET_USER.
