In order to see this and, for example, the effectivity of our riser system, the evolution of the solid phase, the last points in the casting to reach solid state, etc, we will do the following: Go to: Vulcan results → Solid fraction evolution or select the button Figure H.44. Solid fraction evolution. Here we have the liquid fraction of the casting is plotted in red, and the solid part of the casting disappears while is forming, so we only see the remaining liquid parts inside the casting as it solidifies, during the animation. The last points remaining in red should be the risers. 62
