Corel Search Knowledge Base Search Form ''Invalid Directory Specified in corelapp.ini'' when Launching CorelDRAWr 10/9 on Windows 2000 Article ID: 206825 Revision Date: March 13, 2002 The information in this document applies to: CorelDRAW (TM) 10 'Invalid directory specified in corelapp.ini' occurs when launching CorelDRAW 9 or 10 on Windows 2000. This occurs as a result of user permissions on NTFS formatted systems. Typically, this problem will occur when trying to run CorelDRAW 9 or 10 as a member of the 'user' group. There are two solutions to corect this problem. 1. Make the user a member of the 'Power User' group (for information on how to change group membership, contact Microsoft). 2. Give the user group 'full' access to the graphics10 folder (X:\Program files\corel \graphics10) Replace 10 with 9 if running CorelDRAW 9.c Product specifications, packaging, technical support and information (*Specifications*) refer to theUnited States retail English version only.
