User Guide
USB A ‘docking’ ports
USB B laptop port
You can connect your computer or laptop to Lyric to
replay music, movie soundtrack or other sounds stored
on your computer.
There are two USB A ports for docking of compatible
Apple devices or for connection of a USB flash drive,
hard drive or personal audio player.

Lyric is compatible with the following Apple devices:
• Connect a standard USB cable between a free USB
port of your computer and the ‘Laptop USB B’ port h
on the back panel of Lyric.
• iPad 2
• iPad (3rd generation)
mini-USB upgrade port
• iPad (4th generation)
The mini-USB upgrade port 1$ is provided for connection
to a PC to enable firmware upgrades.
• iPad mini
• iPhone 5s

• iPhone 4s
• iPhone 4
• iPod touch 5th gen
• iPod touch 4th gen

Other Apple devices are not compatible.
Also
• USB flash drives, personal audio players or hard
drives containing music files (FAT16, FAT32 formats
only).
NOTE: In the operational text of this handbook, the term
‘iPad’ refers to all compatible Apple devices.
Connection options
There are two connections available for compatible
devices, a front panel USB port (behind the protective
cover at the right end of the front panel) and a back
panel USB port 1% marked iPad USB A.
• Connect a compatible device to either port. Apple
devices may be connected via the USB cable supplied
by Apple.
NOTE: Devices may be docked to both ports
simultaneously if required, but if two Apple devices are
docked, only the last device selected will charge.
