Instruments, Features and Controls Brakes Rear Brake Pedal The rear brake pedal is located on the right side of the motorcycle. Press downward on the rear brake pedal to apply the rear brake. The rear brake pedal activates the rear brake caliper fully while simultaneously activating one of the three pistons in each front brake caliper. See page 35 for pedal adjustment options. See page 51 for braking procedures. Rear Brake Pedal Gear Shift Pedal The gear shift pedal is located on the left side of the motorcycle. • Press downward on the gear shift pedal to shift to a lower gear. • Lift up on the gear shift pedal to shift to a higher gear.
