Maintenance Ignition Switch / Lock Lubrication Periodically lubricate the ignition switch and door locks. We recommend the use of VICTORY Multi-Purpose Lubricant. 1. Spray lubricant directly into the ignition switch and into each lock cylinder for 1-2 seconds. 2. Insert each key into its lock and turn it to all positions to distribute the lubricant. 3. Wipe away any excess lubricant. Sidestand Lubrication Periodically lubricate the sidestand pivot and the ends of the spring. See page 46 for sidestand inspections. Fastener Inspection 1. Inspect the entire motorcycle chassis and engine for loose, damaged or missing fasteners. Tighten loose fasteners to the proper torque. Tip: Refer to the specifications section of this manual or the service manual for fastener torque values, or see your VICTORY dealer. Lubricate 2. Always replace stripped, damaged or broken fasteners before riding. Use genuine VICTORY fasteners of equal size and strength. 82
