Vehicle Care 9-3 VEHICLE CHECKS RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION (RFID) TAG Disconnect the clamp from the negative terminal of the vehicle battery. Beware that all systems are not functional, e.g. anti-theft alarm system. Close the hood. Putting back into operation When the vehicle is to be put back into operation: Connect the clamp to the negative terminal of the vehicle battery. Activate the electronics of the power windows. Check tire pressure. Fill up the washer fluid reservoir. Check the engine oil level. Check the coolant level. Fit the number plate if necessary. This vehicle is equipped with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag, which can be used for Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) or any other applications as decided by the Regulatory authority. The RFID tag is located on inside the windshield. Data for necessary applications will be added by the agency authorized by the Regulatory authority, from time to time. Take proper care during washing or cleaning of windshield so as to avoid any damage to the RFID tag. In case of any damage or malfunction of RFID tag, or in case of windshield replacement, contact your CHEVROLET retailer or agency authorized by the Regulatory authority for the installation of new RFID tag. Caution Do not touch or peel off. Do not place any sticker or other metallic components over the RFID tag neither from inside nor from outside of the windshield. Avoid exposure to chemicals or liquid solvents. This will impair the function of RFID tag. The RFID tag is tamperproof and will not function once removed from windshield. DOING YOUR OWN SERVICE WORK Warning Only perform engine compartment checks when the ignition is OFF. The cooling fan may start operating even if the ignition is OFF. Caution Even small amounts of contamination can cause damage to vehicle systems. Do not allow contaminants to contact the fluids, reservoir caps, or dipsticks.
