Adjustment Series 490 7.10 S-correction of a balance 7.10.1 General notes on S-correctionr 1. The balance must have reached its operating temperature and be in the service-mode -> see “Set the balance to the service-mode” on page D14 2. In every linearisation of a balance the correction factor is deleted and must, if necessary, be redefined 7.10.2 Measuring the S-correction 1. Place a weight of 1/4 full load in the centre of the weighing pan, note the difference between the actual weight and the weight indicated by the balance. 2. Place a weight of 3/4 full load in the centre of the weighing pan, note the difference between the actual weight and the weight indicated by the balance. Sb Sa 7.10.3 Calculating the correction factor • For the correction factor the sign of the measured value must de reversed. for example: + 4 digits were measured → - 4 digits must be entered. for example: -2 digits were measured → + 2 digits must be entered. 7.10.4 Entry of the correction factor 1. Press and hold down the shift key until „SKORECTION“ appears on the Info-Display, then release the key. 2. Using the function key F2 „SECTOR “ the correction range Sa or Sb is established. 3. Using the function key F3 „UP“ and F4 „DOWN“ the chosen correction factor is entered and set with the funktion key F1 „SET“ . 4.
