Dieses Spektralphotometer verfügt über eine Messzelle zur Messung von Mikro-Volumenproben, mit der Probevolumina von nur 0,5 µl analysiert werden können. Das Spektralphotometer Genova Nano ist mit Methoden zur Bestimmung von DNA-Konzentrationen und Reinheitsverhältnissen bei einer Wellenlänge von 260, 280 und 230 nm mit einer optionalen Korrektur bei 320 nm und mit Methoden zur Proteinanalyse wie Bradford-, Lowry-, Biuret-, BCA- und Direkt-UV-Test vorprogrammiert. Bei Ausbau der Mikrovolumen-Messzelle kann das Genova Nano wieder als Standard-Spektrometer Genova Plus für photometrische Messungen, Konzentrationsbestimmungen, Mehrfachwellenlängen, Spektrumscans, Quantifizierungen und Kinetik-Untersuchungen verwendet werden. Die Schutzverpackung muss vor der ersten Initialisierung des Geräts entfernt werden. Die Messzelle ist optisch auf das Spektralphotometer abgestimmt, in das es ursprünglich eingebaut wurde. Die Mikrovolumen-Messzelle lässt sich nicht ohne die Hilfe von geschulten Servicemitarbeitern in andere Genova Plus/Nano Spektralphotometer einbauen. Die Mikrovolumen-Messzelle sollte nicht unnötigerweise ausgebaut oder wieder eingebaut werden, da sich dies auf die Genauigkeit der optischen Ausrichtung der Messzelle auswirken kann. Für den Ausbau und den erneuten Einbau der Mikrovolumen-Messzelle in das Spektralphotometer Genova Nano müssen die folgenden Schritte beachtet werden. Entfernen Sie die vordere Abdeckung von der Probenkammer. Jenway empfiehlt den Benutzern nach Möglichkeit die Verwendung einer Probe von mindestens 2 µl für die Messung. 1. Pipettieren Sie die zu analysierende Flüssigkeit in die Mitte des unteren Lesekopfs. Obwohl es im Allgemeinen nicht erforderlich ist, kann destilliertes Wasser zum Reinigen der Messoberflächen nach der Messung von besonders hoch konzentrierten Proben verwendet werden, damit keine Rückstände von Proben auf beiden Leseköpfen zurückbleiben. Nach der Messung einer großen Anzahl von Proben wird jedoch eine gründliche Reinigung der Bereiche um den oberen und unteren Lesekopf herum empfohlen.
