Applying the calculator to some typical vehicles.
Consider first a 3-axle curtainsider truck on 22.5 tyres to be loaded to its axle load limits (i.e. 6 tonnes steer
axle, 15 tonnes drive axles). The load bed is 1.3m from the ground when laden and the maximum load
height is 4m. The tare mass is 4.5 tonnes on the steer axle and 4 tonnes on the drive axles. The first section
