Working with EcoDesigner
The model analysis function (see Automatic Model Analysis) calculates the perimeter lengths of each structure that is
in contact with the ground (marked with green and red lines on the axonometry above). The matching linear heat
transmission coefficients and length values are multiplied, then eventually summed to obtain the effect of the most
significant linear heat losses.
Openings
The Openings tab page of the EcoDesigner dialog box lists data for all of the Openings on the building shell, by
orientation and opening type.
Note: Openings are not listed one by one; instead, the data are totaled for the opening type and orientation. For
example, the first row in our image lists the total data for all windows in the North orientation that have been
modeled using a single ArchiCAD opening type.
