Carpark Software User Guide
Connection
Server
The host name or IP address of the computer running the SQL Server (including SQL Server instance
name, if applicable).
The default server is "(local)\SQLEXPRESS"
If you have followed the installation steps in this manual, this is your server's host name.
Authentication
Two authentication modes are available when connecting to a SQL Server.
Windows Authentication
If the Use Windows Authentication checkbox is checked the Carpark Server uses Windows
Authentication. Use this if the SQL Server is installed on the same computer as the Carpark Server or
the Carpark Server and SQL Server are members of the same Windows domain.
Windows Authentication is the recommended authentication method.
