6.2.2 Setup VHF Frequency
Frequency selection can be either by selecting pre-set ‘Unicom’ or direct frequency entry.
From the above, if USA is selected then the following menu is presented:
Note that some territories have more than one ‘Unicom’ frequency. This version of software
has the main one for each.
When the Any Frequency option is selected the function keys F1-F4 increment or decrement
the frequency by 1MHz or 25kHz. The system will not allow any frequency outside of the
Airband to be set.
The frequency displayed can either be:
1) Accepted by pressing the green <ENT> key, or
2) Rejected by pressing the red <CAN> key.
The new frequency selected is immediately used to re-programme the VHF receiver and also
stored in memory and used the next time the system is powered up.
