Additional Considerations
The use of colour is an important consideration for the visualisation as “Misinterpretations due to inappropriate choice of color sequences, poor use of [. . . ] differing color characteristics [. . . ] are evident
in many visual presentations of data” (Hutchins and Robertson, 1994). However an effective use of
colour can help convey information to the user - the primary purpose of a visualisation. Animation is
another useful tool, especially for representing changes in data over time or the progress of an algorithm.
