• The hot water heater should be set to deliver 120°F (49°C)
minimum water temperature to the dishwasher for best results.
• A 3/8" minimum O.D. copper tubing inlet line is recommended.
• Dishwasher inlet valve has 3/8" N.P.T. internal pipe threads.
• Allsolder connections must be made before water line is connected
to dishwasher inlet valve. Do Not solder within 6 inches (15.2cm)
of inlet valve.

• The drain hose musthave a high drain loop, 20 inches (50.8cm)
abovefloor.This willhelp toprevent backflowor water siphoning
during dishwasheroperation.
• An'airgap must be used in the high drain loop ffthe drain hose is
connectedto house plumbinglower than20 inches (50.8cm).
• The wastetee or disposer inlet must be 20 inches (50.8cm)
minimumabovethe floor.
• Drain hose must be installed to wasto tee or inlet above drain trap in
house plumbing.
• Drain line and fittings must be 1/2" minimum I.D.

(3.7m). Check that drain hose is resistant to heat and detergent.
Direct wire method

5. Cut a 3/4"(l.gcm) hole in la_, side or floorof cabinet(B) for
directwiring.Rightside is easiestlocation.
Wood cabinet: Sandhole untilsmooth.
Metal cabinet: Coverhole withgrommet (Part No.302797)
availablefrom your dealeror parts supplier.
6. Install a U.L-listed/C_A-certffied strain relinfto the junction box.
If using conduit, use a Ui.-listed/CSA-cer tiffed conduit connector.
Connect the power supply wire to the junction box. Run the other
end of wire through cabinet hole (B). The power supply wire
must extend 24 inches (61cm) from the back wall into cabinet
opening.

supply cord (PartNo.4317824) (C) with a three-prong,groundtypeplug (D) to connect dishwasherto grounded outlet (E).
5. Cut a 1-1/2"(3.8cm) hole in rear or rightside of cabinet (F) for
powersupplycord. Rightside is easiest location.
Wood cabinet: Sand hole until smooth.
Metal obinet: Coverhole with grommet (PartNo.302797)
availablefromyour dealer or parts supplier.
6. Install a matingthree-pronggronnd-typeoudet in an adjacent
cabinet.
Waterline (protect from freezing)
7. CUta 1/2"(1.3cm) minimum hole (G) in cabinet wall orfloor for
water line. Loftside is easiestlocation.
8. Roughwaterline (H) to the cabinetopening.
9. Install a manualshutoffvalvein the water line whereit can be
easilyused.
10. Flushwater line into a bucket to get rid ofany particles thatmay
cloginlet valve. Check thatthere are no sharp bends or ldnks in
the waterline thatmayrestrictthe waterflow. Turnshutoffvalveto
the "OFF"position.

Tilt dishwasher backwards on wheels when moving across
floor to prevent damage to floor covering.
Latch (I) the dishwasher door. Grasp the sides of the dishwasher door
near the console (J). Tilt dishwasher backwards on wheels. Move
dishwasher close to cabinet opening. Do Not push on the center of
the console. Discard shipping baseor hardboard.
Insert drain hose into hole cut into caFmet. Checkthatdrain hose
does not contactdoor springs,motor orwater line.
• Do Notrun drain hose over topof tub. Checkthatdrain hose is not
kinked or twisted.
Insert power supply cord into hole cut into cabinet. If using power
supply wire, adjust wire and pull towards dishwasher terminal box.
• Do Not pinch power supply cord or ldnk power supply wire between
dishwasher and cab'met.

ground wire hook clockwisearound ground connectorand
between the rearandfront nuts. Securelytightenthe front nut (J)
overthe groundwire.
• Tightenstrain relief or conduitconnector screws (M).

If the ground connector (i) looks like this:

• Formthe bareground wire (K) into a U-shapedhook. Wrap ground

ratingplateis locatedbehindthe door on the frontframe of the
dishwasheropening.
• CONNECTWITHCOPPERWIREONLY.
• 120-volt, 60-Hz, AC-unly, 15-ampere, fused electrical supply is
required.
• A time-delay fuse or circuit breaker is recommended.
• It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only this appliance
be provided.
• Some models are already equipped with a power supplycord. If a
power supply cord is not supplied, Power Supply Cord Kit (Part No.
4317824) is available from your local dealer or parts supplier. Follow
the kit instructions for installing power supply cord.
If the kit is not available locally, use a U.L-listed/CA*_-certified,threeconductor, 16-gauge, six foot, power supply cord that meets all local
codes and ordinances. It must be routed so it does not touch the
dishwasher motor or lower portion of the dishwasher tub. A swain
relief must be used to secure the power supply cord to the dishwasher
terminal box. The power supply cord must be plugged into a mating
3-prong, ground-type oudet, grounded in accordance with all national
and local codes and ordinances.
• Ifa powersupplycord is attachedto dishwasherbutyouneed to direct
wiredishwasher,youwill need DirectWireConnectionKit(Part No.
4317979). Removepowersupplycordand make all directwire
