Previous versions • Zero Suppression: It is possible to set Zero Suppression for all new ad-hoc reports • Slices: Use all hierarchies: You can set whether you want to use all dimensions or all hierarchies in newly created ad-hoc reports. Or you can choose to add slice dimensions only manually to an ad-hoc report. It is possible to change the standard behavior of the dimensions while creating a new ad-hoc report. • Default element: When using this setting for all dimensions the default element will be visible. Note: This means that, if there are several root elements in a dimension, only the default of them will be visible. • Root level: When using this setting all elements on the root level of the dimension (top level) will be visible initially. Note: This can affect the performance if there are many calculated elements on one of the axes. Maintain OLAP Permissions with Ad-hoc Reports It is possible now to maintain permissions on OLAP # Cubes (TABACC, MDAC..) from ad-hoc reports. Previously this was only possible using Alea Ad-hoc reports. Automatic Connection When opening a formula report without connecting to the repository, the last used repository will automatically be connected. The aliases (server registrations) that are needed to calculate the report will be connected automatically, too. Application Studio Writeback Improvements It is possible now to writeback several cells at a time to writeback cells. In previous time one could only enter values one by one. New Export Functions Application Studio now supports different types of Export Format. Each export format has properties for different use cases. Excel Printout Export The Excel Value Export format exports the report view of a report to MS Excel without any formulas. The results of all formulas are exported as pure values. Hidden cells and conditional formats are not exported, either. This export format is meant as a pure "What you see is what you export" format. This format does not include images in the export.
