1. Product description
The reusable Aid One Cover consists of a 100cm*180cm polyester cover with first aid instructions printed on both sides. The
edges of the cover are sewn with a reflective tape to enhance use with a limited amount of light. The Aid One cover also
consists of a chest piece, made of polyester, attached to the cover with velcro (hook and loop fastener). (see Figure 1)

5. Warnings
Only use the device for intended use (see chapter 2).
Always contact emergency number if possible, as the patient might need additional treatment.
Follow emergency centers guidance and provide them any information that they require.

Clinical data
The Aid One Cover follows the Red Cross’ and the European Resuscitation Council’s guidelines regarding the treatment of
unconscious victims. However, Aid One Solutions Oy has insufficient clinical and experimental data upon which to base any
conclusions regarding the effectiveness of the product.

2. Intended use/purpose
Aid One Cover is designed to give a lay-person instructions on how to treat an unconscious patient. If the patient can be
identified as still breathing, the user should follow the cover’s green side instructions on how to perform a recovery position
procedure. If the patient cannot be found to be breathing, the user should follow the cover’s red side instructions on how to
perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). On the cover’s red side there is a detachable chest piece that can be placed
over the patient’s chest according to the instructions to give more detailed instructions on CPR compressions.
The Aid One Cover is to be disposed in a way that local regulations for polyester textile disposing are taken into consideration.
Aid One Cover does not contain any toxic materials that require special procedure’s when disposing.
The user should also be aware of his environment and take care of his personal safety accordingly during emergency situations, that might include the use of the Aid One Cover. Following the instructions represented in the Aid One Cover does not
guarantee successful treatment of the patient. The user should always call the emergency number when encountering an
unconscious patient to ensure that healthcare professionals arrive as soon as possible. The user should also always continue
the treatment of unconscious patients until healthcare professionals arrive on the scene.
Aid One Cover is only designed to be used in situations described in the intended use chapter. In other emergency situations
the user should seek help of other emergency equipment and/or healthcare professionals.

4. Directions for use
1. Take the cover out of its package.
Aid One Cover is designed only to give instructions, for the lay-person, on how to treat an unconscious patient. It is up to the
lay-person to actually perform the different actions instructed on the cover. Aid One Cover is designed only to give instructions in situations mentioned above, and the cover is not to be used in other emergency situations.
WARNING: Instructions represented on the cover are only to be used in treatment of adult patients (people of 12 years old
and onwards).

Aid One Cover can be used by a lay-person without previous knowledge of first aid. It is noted that making yourself aware of
the instructions on the cover, and practicing the use of the cover can enhance users’ performance in a possible emergency
situation.
Previous knowledge of first aid can enhance the performance of the Aid One Cover. The user should make note of the cover’s
instructions beforehand, so possible differences from the user’s previous knowledge can be noted.
4. Follow the instructions written on the cover, starting by identifying the patient’s breathing. If the patient is breathing
normally, follow the instructions on the green side of the Aid One Cover. In the case, that the patient is breathing abnormally
or not breathing, follow the instructions on the red side of the Aid One cover.
To get further instructions, the user can watch the training video provided by Aid One Solutions Oy on the packaging of the
device through a QR Code.

The user should follow the instructions on the Aid One Cover. No measurement device is presented on the cover to monitor a
patient’s condition. To ensure the patients safe treatment, the user should call the emergency number and continue to treat
the patient until healthcare professionals arrive (as according to the cover’s instructions).
The Aid One Cover needs to be taken out of its package, unfolded and laid down by the side of the patient for proper use of
the device.
3. Indication for maintenance
The Aid One Cover can be installed on a wall. To enhance the performance of the device, one should install it into a location
that is clearly visible and easily accessible in a possible emergency situation.
It is not necessary to install The Aid One Cover on a wall, but to enhance the performance of the device the user should keep
track of the cover’s location, if it is not fixed.
The Aid One Cover should be stored in normal humidity conditions (between 40 and 60%). The Aid One Cover should be
stored in location where it is not in constant exposure to UV-light. After washing make sure that the device is properly dried
before re-packing. If the device gets wet, unfold it and let it dry properly before re-packing.
If the Aid One Cover is found to be dirty it can be washed up to 60°C. The washing procedure is recommended if reading
the instructions on the cover is hindered because of the dirt. During use of the Aid One Cover if body fluids (e.g. blood) have
come into contact with the cover, or the cover’s readability is still hindered from dirt even after washing, it is recommended
that the cover is disposed of. If the Aid One Cover is damaged in a way that the instructions are not readable anymore it is
recommended that the cover is disposed of. If the device has been stored incorrectly and has gathered mold it should be
disposed of.

6. Follow the steps given by the cover and repeat the procedure accordingly until healthcare professionals arrive on
the scene of the accident and take care of the patient.

(e.g. blood) dispose of the cover. If not, wash the cover following the instructions on the label.
