Swing-arm pivot forces
The advent of modern suspension systems, with high leverage, has resulted in higher loading in the swing-arm
pivot bearings. Due account must be taken of this in the selection of the bearings and the structural properties of
the swing-arm and frame supporting points.
These graphs show the total or resultant force, together with the horizontal and vertical components.
If specified, the effects of a bump-stop rubber will be shown in these plots.
N.B. Remember that this does not include the effects of damping forces which may easily double these values in
some cases.
