1.4. Installation BACS Bus Cables

The BACS bus cable are special made components
(twisted cable, special coat). If other cables will be
use, the function of the system could not be warranted. To avoid needless cable length, the bus cable
are available in different length.

Important features for correct function:
1. The maximum cable length between the last
module and the BACS WEBMANAGER may not be
longer more than 60 m = 2364 in. (also by using a
SPLITTING BOX).
2. Don‘t connect more than 60 modules at one bus
string.

3. The modules could be connected in any sequential arrangement to the bus. It‘s not required to
connect the modules by adresses.

4. To get a higher safeguarding against failure, the
bus cabling should be done as loop. If there‘s one
interruption, the communication is still warranted.
5. For the loop cabling the last module has to be
connected to the second bus port of the BACS BUS
CONVERTER or BACS WEBMANAGER BUDGET
