2.1
Emulator Hardware Components
The emulator consists of an E8000 station, an SH7410 device control board, and an SH7410 EVchip board, as shown in figure 2.1. The emulator station includes a serial-interface cable (RS232C) and a parallel-interface cable (conforms to IEEE-P1284 and is for the ECP mode) for the
host computer interface. By installing a LAN board (option), the emulator can be connected to a
workstation via the LAN interface. By installing a PC interface board (option) to a PC to be used,
the emulator can be connected to the PC via the ISA bus.
