2.1 Description The Host Adapter allows communication with up to 254 Programmable Controllers or other Secondaries on a TIWAY network by connecting a host computer to the network. The Host Adapter has two interface ports, one to communicate with the host computer and one to communicate with the TIWAY I network. Both Host Adapter ports have several features and user-selectable options which allow you to modify the Host Adapter to meet your particular interface needs. The features and options are listed in the sections below for the host computer and the network ports. There are four Host Adapter models. Table 2-1 shows the four models; you should choose the one which fits your needs.
