Make sure the infusion set tubing is disconnected from
your body and press START to begin the prime.
The flashlight illuminates during the prime to help you
see the insulin drops appearing at the tip of the
cannula.

Watch carefully for insulin drops at the tip of the infusion set.
• If you see a droplet appear, press any button to stop
the prime. Make sure there is no air in the tubing. If
there is air in the tubing, repeat the prime.

If you do not stop the prime, a message will notify you when the selected amount
is reached.

• If you do not see a droplet appear but the prime completes, press OK and repeat
the PRIME TUBING with the same number of units. Press any button when you
see insulin drops at the cannula to stop the prime.
WARNING: If you do not see insulin drops appear while priming the tubing,
your pump will not be ready to deliver insulin. Replace the pump body, cartridge,
and infusion set tubing.

You can now insert the infusion cannula into your body. Once it is inserted,
proceed to “Priming the Cannula” on page 34.
