22.2 Planmeca Compacti dental unit’s water consumption
Bowl: The flow rate is approx. 2.5 liters (0.66 gallons) per minute. The flow rate can be set to run
from 2 to 240 seconds.
Glass filler: The glass filling is adjusted for the size of the glass you use.
Syringe: The flow rate is approx. 0.1 liters (0.03 gallons) per minute.
Handpieces: The flow rate is approx. 0.05 liters (0.01 gallons) per minute.
Optional water driven saliva ejector: The flow rate is 4 liters (1.06 gallons) per minute.
Suction system: A small amount of water, approx. 0.2 liters (0.05 gallons), is used to help keep the
suction system clean when in use.
Suction system cleaning cycle: Cleaning is done once a day and uses 2.5 liters (0.66 gallons) of
water.
