FOOT CONTROL
11.3 Using the foot control to operate the instruments vertical operation
NOTE
Other foot control operations and programming
are functioning normally.
Instrument speed/power
To operate the instrument push the pedal down. As you
push the pedal the power output will appear on the
display. The range is 5-100.
To stop the instrument allow the pedal to return to the rest
position.
NOTE
The turbine/air motor will start with maximum
speed if the quick start is selected. See section
“Reverse rotation of micromotor/Quick start of
air driven instrument” on page 24.
NOTE
Note that the speed/power level depends on the
instrument and the Plus package.
Instrument spray
Push the pedal to the left to select the spray to be on or off
for the active instrument.
NOTE
The spray can be switched on and off from the
control panel. See section “Instrument spray” on
page 23.
NOTE
The spray must be switched off when using an
instrument without a waterline inside the
handpiece.
Chip blow
Press and hold the pedal to the right to activate the
manual chip blow. The flow of air will continue until you
remove your foot from the pedal.
User’s Manual
NOTE
The type of manual chip blow does not depend
on the type of the automatic chip blow, but is
always dry.
The manual chip blow can be set to be
dependent on programming, contact your
Planmeca dealer.
NOTE
The automatic chip blow can be switched on and
off from the control panel. See section
“Automatic chip blow” on page 24.
