6 Controlling Voyage Duration and Port Stay

The total duration of a voyage is calculated as a function of the vessel's speed, the distance between ports and the laytime terms
In addition to this, you can impact on the duration in three different ways:
1. Control waiting time on the ballast leg by filling out the Waiting field
2. Control additional time spent in port by adjusting the Extra column for each port on the Port Rotation panel
3. Control extra days at sea (bad wheather or similar) by modifying the % Extra at Sea field
Tip: you can also override the number of days. This will result in a recalculation of the %.
