Changing dial-up numbers
The optimail 30 comes with major dial-up numbers for franking machine operation
saved ex factory. The table on the next page explains the meaning of the dial-up
numbers.
Caution! Change the dial-up numbers only when instructed to do so by
Francotyp-Postalia. Wrong dial-up numbers can cause troubles, e.g. during
postage loading.
Caution! For the GSM Modem to work properly, the dial-up numbers saved
in the optimail 30 must not contain any blank spaces!
Changing a dial-up number
• Press the
Modem and Telephone Numbers
Change Dialup Numbers
key.
• Select in the menu:
MODEM AND TELEPHONE NUMBERS
CHANGE DIALUP NUMBERS.
• Select the dial-up number to be changed.
Select the number to be changed
The optimail 30 opens the menu where you
can change the stored dial-up numbers.
Type the dial-up number
• Change the stored dial-up number or type
a new number.
• SAVE the displayed dial-up number.

Functions in the CHANGE DIALUP NUMBERS menu and their meaning:
SPACE
Inserts a blank space. This can improve the
dial-up number readability.
Blank spaces are ignored during dialling.
Note: When using the GSM Modem
do not insert spaces!
NEW NO.
Deletes the displayed dial-up number.
You can then type a new number.
