9. THE COMBINED AUTOMATIC TEST
In chapters 3-6 the Brake Analyser, Suspension Analyser, Side Slip Meter and
Weighing Scales were described. One of the options offered by the Arex system is
that the various modules can be operated in a combined automatic sequence.
The system automatically switches from one module to the other, without any action
from the operator. On the completion of such a combined automatic sequence, the
system automatically switches back to the beginning of the sequence and is ready to
test the next vehicle.
As the modules can be installed in a variety of combinations there are a number of
different automatic test sequences. These sequences are pre-programmed during
installation. But can be customised by the operator (e.g. with/without printing). For
this we refer you to Chapter 10.
The next paragraph describes a number of common combined automatic test
sequences. The automatic test will always start with the Arex logo and after 5
seconds will instruct you in the lower part what to do, depending on the test
sequence you have selected.
