Prepare the QuantStudio® 3D Digital PCR System for use
About the
installation
You can install the QuantStudio® 3D Digital PCR System within one hour. The
installation requires your participation at all times, so plan to spend most of your time
working with the instrument.
Note: The time required to install the QuantStudio® 3D System can vary depending
on the type of networking solution that you choose. See Appendix B, “Networking“
for a complete description of the networking options supported by the QuantStudio®
3D System.
Materials
required
You need the following materials to install the QuantStudio® 3D Digital PCR System:
• Safety glasses
• Scissors or pocketknife
Before you begin
Before you install the QuantStudio® 3D Digital PCR System, do the following:
• Obtain the tools and materials required for installation as shown above.
• Confirm that the installation site meets the environmental and electrical
requirements explained in Appendix D, “Specifications and Layout“.
• If you intend to connect the QuantStudio® 3D Instrument to your network,
confirm that the installation site contains a viable connection that meets the
networking requirements explained in Appendix B, “Networking“.
• Read “Choose additional protective devices“ on page 16 and if necessary,
obtain the additional components that you want to install.
